RAPD

Portuguese FP Association

In Portugal, the 28 September will be celebrated with the first exhibition of the film “El Tren de la Libertad”,that was produced in Spain in February 2014. This activity, that will take place in Lisbon, 4pm, will be held by the platform REDE DE SOLIDARIEDADE COM AS MULHERES DO ESTADO ESPANHOL CONTRA A LEI GALLARDÓN.

28 September Event, Geneva, Switzerland: Abortion Stigma, Criminalization and Restrictive Laws and Policies

To commemorate the 2014 Global Day of Action for the Decriminalization of Abortion, the panel will explore the linkages between abortion stigma, criminalization and restrictive laws and policies, and examine their impact on the rights of women, particularly adolescent girls.

Coalition for the Defense of Sexual and Reproductive Rights

Tribute to the pioneers of the movement for the decriminalization of abortion in Mozambique such as Dr. Mocumbi, former Prime Minister and Minister of Health, prominent Mozambican Ob-Gyn and academic Dr. Fernanda Machungo, Dr. Bugalho, Dr. Nafissa Osman, Dr. Dalmasia, lawyer and technical advisor for the Health Minister in legal matters, representing the MOH.

Ipas

Ipas (headquarters) is building its global mobilisation strategy around social media (short videos, messages).

Aside of social media engagement Ipas is planning to hold two screenings on criminalisation of abortion in Nicaragua with a follow up discussion.
