Kenyan SRHR activists hold activities in several cities

Description: Dandelion Kenya will be focusing efforts in Nakuru with the following activities: petition signing online, mute march and poetry reading, dancing and music along the way. The march will end at Kenyatta Avenue where two booths will be set up- one information booth and another one hosted by Family Health for cervical cancer screening and contraceptive implants. The petition will be sent to high officials (President, Deputy President, Minister of Health, and the Governor, Health Director and MPs of the Nakuru County). Mobilisation will start through social media, sending PRs to dailies and through posters and meetings with community leaders in Nakuru.

  • Flash mob in the city by Ipas Africa Alliance and Slum Drummers
  • Media Hype – Tweetathon by COVAW and FLONE Initiatives
  • ‘Konnect’ Tent for youth in University of Nairobi by Marie Stopes Internatonal
