The Central America Women’s Network (CAWN), based in London, has spent many years campaigning against violations of women’s rights as a result of patriarchal values that aim to control women’s reproduction and sexuality and which perpetuate gender inequality.

On 28 September, CAWN publishes a briefing paper, “Maternal Health, Reproductive Rights and the Criminalisation of Abortion in Central America”, to coincide with the day of action and demonstrate solidarity with the 28 September campaign in Central America.
